Fellow at Murdoch Children's Research Institute and Founding Partner of ANDHealth, a National Digital Health Initiative.
Helen McFadzean (Principal, Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick)
Helen is a patent attorney with technical expertise in software, AI/ML, robotics and electronics. Since joining the IP profession in 2009, Helen has successfully obtained patents, trade marks and designs for many businesses in Australia and overseas in a large number of technology areas including machine learning and image classification, second-life battery systems, medical apparatus, embedded software, and control systems. Helen is passionate about assisting businesses unlock the full potential of their IP.
Melissa Wingard (Special Counsel, Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick Lawyers)
Melissa is a digital, technology and intellectual property lawyer with over 15 years of experience, assisting software, cybersecurity, and technology companies, across the Asia Pacific region, grow their business and meet strategic aims, whilst managing risk and regulatory compliance. She has extensive experience in relation to commercialising intellectual property particularly in exploiting software, drafting and advising on various contractual arrangements, competition law, information security, data protection and privacy.
